ISNPS2020

INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON NONPARAMETRIC STATISTICS

JUNE 15-19, 2020

PAPHOS, CYPRUS

Conference postponed

New conference dates: 14 – 18 June, 2021

After very careful consideration of all the parameters regarding the new Coronavirus outbreak, the ISNPS Board of Directors  in collaboration with the Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee,  have decided to postpone the conference until 14-18 of June 2021. The main concern has been the health of all conference participants and the limitation of the spreading of this new disease. In addition, many organizations (universities, research centres and international or EU organizations) have restricted their staff mobility and reimbursement which was causing serious stress to participants.

Thus the following parameters should be noted:

  1. The new dates regarding the conference are 14-18/06/2021.
  2. The venue will remain the same, “Azia Resort & Spa” in Paphos.
  3. The abstract submission system will reopen so that people may amend/update their existing work. It will also be possible to submit new work. The system will remain open until 31/03/2021.
  4. In an effort to minimize hassle and costs, the following actions are being taken regarding registrations and other local services:
    a. All the registrations will be automatically transferred. Conference Organizers will accept a substitute at no additional cost, if a registered conference participant is unable to attend the conference. However, if someone would like to cancel and get a refund, this would be possible, (an administration fee of 50 euro and relevant bank/credit card charges may apply).
    b. All local arrangements, (hotel bookings, airport transfers, car hire, etc.) will be cancelled and a relevant credit will appear in your Easy Conferences account. This credit could be used to book similar services once you finalize your new travel arrangements. However, if someone would like to get a full refund at this stage, this could be possible
    c. The Easy Conferences staff will be ready to assist with all new arrangements, invoicing and refunds. Please do not hesitate to get in touch via email or telephone.
  5. All participants’ accounts (within the Easy Conferences system) will be updated the soonest. In addition, the system and the conference website will also be updated. Please keep checking the new conference website, http://cyprusconferences.org/isnps2021, for further conference developments.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused, but this decision was required in an effort to protect the health of all participants and their families/communities.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and we look forward to having you with us in Cyprus this coming June.

WELCOME

Inspired by the success of the previous NonParametric conferences in Chalkidiki (Greece, 2012), Cadiz (Spain, 2014), Avignon (France, 2016) and Salerno (Italy, 2018), we are organising the International Symposium on NonParametric Statistics in Paphos, Cyprus, June 15-19, 2020. The venue is the Azia Hotel & Spa, a 5 star Hotel with its own character, situated in a quiet location, 30 minutes away from Paphos international airport and 15 minutes from the town centre, the shops and nightlife.

The conference will bring forth recent advances and trends in several areas of nonparametric statistics, in order to facilitate the exchange of research ideas, promote collaboration among researchers from all over the world, and contribute to the further development of the field. The program will include plenary talks, special invited talks, invited talks, contributed talks and posters on all areas of nonparametric statistics.
