Cypriots have gained a great deal of specialization through many long years of experience in the preparation and cooking of different kinds of meat in many different ways.<\/p>\n
Traditional taverns are usually owned and run by families. Usually the mother in the family would be the cook and would employ all the knowledge passed on to her by her mother and grandmother; whereas the father would be the one to barbeque\/grill the meat and check if customers are happy with their service. The children will usually be the servers.\u00a0 The whole family takes great pride in what they do and do not want a single person to leave their premises unhappy.<\/p>\n
Participation to this event will provide an experience of a real life dinner that a Cypriot family would usually have on a special occasion or on a Sunday.<\/p>\n
Our Village Night-Out will start with our transfer to the village.\u00a0 You will be escorted to a traditional stone-built tavern with an engaging traditional d\u00e9cor. You will be served a variety of \u2018meze\u2019 dishes (assortment of dishes) comprising mainly of meat as well as other delicious sides such as \u2018grilled halloumi cheese\u2019, smoked sausages, \u2018koupepia\u2019 (stuffed vine leaves with minced meat and herbs).<\/p>\n
Along with the sumptuous selection of \u2018meze\u2019 platters you will also be served local wine as well as the authentic spirit that Cyprus is globally known for: \u2018zivania\u2019. The background music will create a festive atmosphere that will give a chance to all delegates unwind from the busy conference schedule.<\/p>\n
