Her research interests focus on design, synthesis and characterization of nanostructured core materials for ion exchange membrane fuel cells and electrolyzers. Her research at the Charles Gerhardt Institute for Molecular Chemistry and Materials was supported in 2013 by an ERC Starting Grant, followed by a Proof of Concept Grant in 2019, aiming to develop novel electrodes and membranes based on electrospun materials for energy applications. In 2017, she was appointed junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France and awarded the CNRS Bronze medal. In 2024 Prof. Cavaliere worked for a semester at the University of Nevada, Reno (USA), supported by a Fulbright Scholar Grant. He received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion in 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Technical University in Berlin, Germany.
