Assessing Neurocognitive and Social-Cognitive Performance of the Developing Brain in Learning Disabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are delighted to invite you to the 47th Annual IARLD Conference entitled, \u201cAssessing Neurocognitive and Social-Cognitive Performance of the Developing Brain in Learning Disabilities<\/em>,\u201d hosted by the Department of Psychology, University of Cyprus, on September 17-19, 2025, in Nicosia, Cyprus.<\/p>\n

The conference theme embraces innovative methods for evaluating neurocognitive and social-cognitive functioning in individuals with learning disabilities. Cognitive abilities, such as memory, attention, and problem-solving, are foundational to acquiring knowledge. Social skills, including communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction, shape how individuals engage with their learning environments. These aspects provide a comprehensive view of how learning disabilities manifest across different contexts. By studying both domains, we can identify early signs of learning disabilities, such as difficulties in processing information, engaging socially, or adapting to school settings.<\/p>\n

Key topics will include behavioral and cognitive assessments, neurophysiological techniques, and social cognitive measures that advance our understanding of brain development and learning disorders. As learning disabilities often lead to social challenges, such as difficulty forming friendships or feelings of isolation in the classroom, submissions are encouraged to explore the impact of individual and environmental factors, performance profiles, early childhood interventions, and socio-emotional development.<\/p>\n

We welcome contributions from interdisciplinary fields, including psychology, education, cognitive neuroscience, and healthcare. The primary goal of the conference is to foster collaboration between researchers and practitioners to deepen our understanding of learning disabilities and inform evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment, addressing cognitive deficits and social challenges.<\/p>\n
