The Organizing Committee has been continually evaluating the situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to very low requests for physical attendance and in the best interest of participants’ health, it has been decided that the conference will be held as a virtual-only<\/strong> event.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the interest of all participants’ health and well being, the Local Organising Committee is following the latest COVID-19 developments closely.
The conference will be held as planned with both physical and online attendance. Authors and participants have the capability of registering for either virtual or physical attendance (via the conference registration site). For virtual attendance reduced fees will apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Energy, the challenging way forward<\/h1>\n

The 2020 Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion will be held virtually between the 9th and 12th November 2020. The conference was originally planned to be held in Paphos, Cyprus.<\/p>\n

The 12th international IET MEDPOWER conference is organized by the IET Cyprus local network with the contribution of the IET Greece and Malta networks.<\/p>\n

MEDPOWER2020 will provide the opportunity for engineers, scientists, technicians, researchers, scholars and companies to exchange ideas and discuss the latest research achievements in academia and industry.<\/p>\n

The conference also aims to provide a forum to create opportunities for networking and collaboration through a series of presentations, talks, exhibitions and special sessions.<\/p>\n

MEDPOWER 2020 will cover all aspects of power system design, operation, and planning,\u00a0 including the integration of ICT and energy systems as well as addressing challenges in the future energy markets.<\/p>\n

Following full paper submission and peer review process, performed by international reviewers, all presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings (Proceedings of the 12th<\/strong>\u00a0Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion, <\/strong>MEDPOWER2020, IET Inspec), and will be submitted to be considered for Indexing in Scopus.<\/p>\n

Extended versions of selected presented papers will be sent to special issues in ENERGIES, Electric Power System Research (EPSR), IET Renewable Power Generation (RPG), International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems (IJEPES).<\/p>\n
