Leventis\u2019 is located in Troodos National Forest Park, within the boundaries of the old Amiantos asbestos mine, at <\/span>an <span>altitude of 1400 m. It is one of the three botanic gardens established by the Department of Forests. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Garden aims towards the conservation and promotion of the Island\u2019s botanical heritage, focusing on Troodos\u2019 native flora. At forest openings, visitors will have the opportunity to view the Serpentinophilous grasslands of Cyprus (62\u03920 habitat type), an endemic habitat type, found only on Troodos Mountain and Akamas peninsula.
