Jo\u00e3o Rito is passionate about impact entrepreneurship and he is a founding partner and manager of SEAentia, an aquaculture startup, which aims to produce top-quality seafood in the most sustainable way by combining novel aquaculture engineering with scientific research.He is currently the President of BlueBio Alliance, the Portuguese association for marine bioresources and a member of the Board of F\u00f3rum Oceano.He has also been involved in activities within the European Aquaculture Society (EAS), having been the President of the EAS Students Group.He lectured classes about Physiology, Nutrition and Feeding in aquaculture at the Polytechnic of Leiria.Jo\u00e3o believes in the blue economy and specifically in aquaculture as a tool to solve part of the socio-economic and environmental problems in the world, if well managed and well implemented.<\/p>\n
