Travel Information

Vaccinated/Recovered Passengers

Passengers of the following categories regardless of their nationality, will be able to travel to the Republic of Cyprus, from any country, without having the obligation to meet the prerequisites of the corresponding country category (e.g. RT-PCR laboratory tests, self-isolation, quarantine etc., or issuance of a special permission to enter the country):

1. Vaccinated passengers who hold a valid vaccination certificate from the public authorities of the countries referred below.
2. Passengers who have recovered from COVID-19 and their travel date is not more than 180 days from their first positive result. It is essential that the passengers hold an EU Digital COVID Recovery certificate (other certificates are not accepted).
3. Passengers who hold a valid EU Digital COVID certificate showing that they have received a single dose of a two-dose acceptable vaccine and additionally have recovered from COVID-19.

Vaccinated/recovered passengers still have to complete, within 48 hours before their last departure flight to Cyprus, the necessary application form and obtain a CyprusFlightPass by visiting the link www.cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/en/login

The vaccination certificate is considered acceptable if all of the below apply:

1. The vaccine has been administered by the public authorities of the countries below.
2. The vaccine administered is one of the following: Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria, COVISHIELD, SKBio), Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Sputnik V (Gam-COVID-Vac), Sinopharm (BBIBPCOVID-19), Sinovac (CoronaVac).
3. All of the required doses of the respective vaccine have already been administered.
4. The required time frame has elapsed between the administration of the final dose and the date of travel.

It is noted that upon their arrival in the Republic of Cyprus, vaccinated passengers will not be excluded from any RT-PCR laboratory sampling examination, which may be carried out by the Ministry of Health and the strict implementation of the health protocols in force in the Republic of Cyprus.

Please note that in the case of a person who has been administered with a combination of different types of the above vaccines (eg 1st dose Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) and second dose Pfizer-BioNTech), at the stage of completing the application for the purpose of obtaining the cyprusflightpass the vaccine administered to him/her  as a second dose has to be declared, recording at the same time as the first dose the date of administration of  the first vaccine.

Time Frame for travel purposes

Janssen/Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

Fourteen (14) days must have elapsed between the completion of the required dose of the vaccine (1-dose vaccine) and the date of travel.

AstraZeneca Vaccine (Vaxzevria, COVISHIELD, SKBio)

With the completion of the required doses of the vaccine.

Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine

With the completion of the required doses of the vaccine.

Moderna Vaccine

With the completion of the required doses of the vaccine.

Sputnik (Gam-COVID-Vac) Vaccine

With the completion of the required doses of the vaccine.

Sinopharm (BBIBPCOVID-19) Vaccine

With the completion of the required doses of the vaccine.

Sinovac (CoronaVac) Vaccine

With the completion of the required doses of the vaccine.

Airports

Cyprus is served by two International Airports; Larnaca International Airport, (LCA) and Paphos International Airport, (PFO). More than 50 International Airlines connect Cyprus to the whole world; for more details regarding flights to/from Cyprus, please visit the official website of both airports at www.hermesairports.com. Furthermore, domestic communication between both airports and all the major cities on the island is very quick and easy via an extensive highway system.

InterCity Buses

There is regular, reliable and reasonably priced bus service between the major cities in Cyprus. You can follow this link to the InterCity Bus company’s website for schedules, routes and prices.

General Info

• The voltage on the island is 240 volts, socket outlets are of flat 3 pin-type (UK).
• English is the second language and is understood by almost everyone on the island. French, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian are also widely spoken.

• Banks in Cyprus open for the public from 08:30 to 13:30 midday, Monday to Friday. Certain banks in tourist areas open during the afternoon.
