<\/span><\/p>\nDespite remarkable advances in the fight against cancer in the past several decades, certain malignancies display remarkable genetic, epigenetic and metabolic plasticity, culminating in resistance to even the most aggressive therapeutic modalities.\u00a0 It has long been recognized that stresses present in the tumor microenvironment (TME), including hypoxia, low nutrient availability, the presence or absence of specific immune infiltrates, the microbiome ecosystem etc., act as physiological selective pressures that promote tumor aggressiveness and confound therapeutic efforts.\u00a0Gaining further key insights into the complex interactions between tumor cells, stromal components, immune cells, and the extracellular matrix can provide new approaches and targets to widen the therapeutic window and improve outcomes in oncology.<\/p>\n
The overarching goal of this conference is to bring together distinguished experts, leading scientists, and trainees in this burgeoning field to discuss ground-breaking discoveries, transformative new concepts, and promising technologies that have the potential to usher new paths to therapeutic intervention.\u00a0 We aim to stimulate collaboration between groups working on cellular and molecular aspects of TME biology at the with groups that are engaged in drug discovery, development of innovative imaging modalities or are engaged in oncology clinical trials.<\/p>\n

Notes for sponsors<\/strong><\/h4>\nThe Conference welcomes sponsorships from established vendors, pharmaceutical companies, foundations, and institutions. Funds will be used to cover expenses of Keynote speakers (we anticipate 2-3 Nobel Laureates will be invited) and defray the cost of invited speakers. Moreover, funds raised will cover a substantial portion of travel and registration fees for trainees. Some of the most prominent scientists and clinicians in the field of oncology are expected to attend. An exhibit area is available to set up booths and interact with the attendees. The conference will be capped at 120-130 individuals, allowing for ample time to visit the exhibit areas and for discussions. Sponsors will be prominently featured on the Conference website, the scientific program and in rolling slides throughout the scientific portion of the meeting. Opportunities for named travel awards and Keynote lectures are provided. Finally, sponsors will be featured in any local media coverage of the event.<\/p>\n

Funds will be used to cover expenses of Keynote speakers (we anticipate 2-3 Nobel Laureates will be invited) and defray the cost of invited speakers. Moreover, funds raised will cover a substantial portion of travel and registration fees for trainees. Some of the most prominent scientists and clinicians in the field of oncology are expected to attend. An exhibit area is available to set up booths and interact with the attendees. The conference will be capped at 120-130 individuals, allowing for ample time to visit the exhibit areas and for discussions. Sponsors will be prominently featured on the Conference website, the scientific program and in rolling slides throughout the scientific portion of the meeting. Opportunities for named travel awards and Keynote lectures are provided.
