News alert 26\/3\/2020 – Conference Postponement<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After very careful consideration of all the parameters regarding the new Coronavirus outbreak, the Local Organizing Committee has decided to postpone the Spring School to a different time. The main concern has been the health of all participants and the limitation of the spreading of this new disease. In addition, many organizations (universities, research centres and international or EU organizations) have restricted their staff mobility and reimbursement which was causing serious stress to participants.<\/p>\n

Due to the great disruption caused by the Pandemic, hotels are closed currently and things remaining equal we will only be able to finalize our discussions with the venue in the near future when things stabilise. We kindly ask for your patience until the issue is resolved, and hope to be able to announce new dates soon.<\/p>\n

The following parameters should be noted:<\/p>\n

  1. In an effort to minimize hassle and costs, all the registrations will be automatically cancelled and a full refund will be processed (relevant bank\/credit card charges may apply).<\/li>\n

    The school aims at advancing participants knowledge in the field of enviromenntal fluid mechanics with focus on the urban dynamics and its multiscale interactions – from global to local scales using a holistic approach. A dialogue between scientists and engineers using different research methodologies will be promoted – from theory, to the laboratory, to computer simulations, and to the actual real field. Example applications will include urban climate mitigation and adaptation strategies, particulate matter pollution and the impact of transboundary transport of dust.<\/p>\n
