Submission of Abstracts

Submissions are welcome and should be made through the online abstract uploading area up to January 31, 2013 February 10, 2013. Submitters will be notified about formal confirmation of acceptance of abstracts by March 10, 2013.

Proposal of Abstract

All abstracts submitted to the conference must be in English. Accepted abstracts will be included in a Book of Abstracts.

The sessions will consist of 3 presentations (25+5mins) followed by discussions. Abstracts should be 300 words long. Individual proposals will be grouped into sessions based on the sub-themes.

Proposals can be submitted online using the 'Abstracts Uploading Area' tool on the conference website. When submitting your abstract, please include the following information:

  • Conference sub-theme that is most suitable for your proposal
  • Title of presentation
  • Type of presentation (individual paper, workshop)
  • Name/s, institution/s and email address/es of the presenter and co-author (For multiple-authored papers, please indicate which authors will be presenting)
  • Contact Information (Postal address and e-mail address)
  • Abstract of 300 words (include sub-theme, clarify whether is theoretical/empirical/research based presentations. If it is a research-based paper, please include theoretical framework, methodology, main findings and implications for practice. Ethical implications should also be considered)
  • Up to three keywords
  • Audio visual requirements

Workshop Proposals

A workshop entails the presentation of practical and experiential aspects of art in early childhood education. Researchers, educators or artists are invited to present their work in workshops where participants may take part.

Please follow the directions for submission of abstracts when proposing a workshop. Abstracts should be 300 words long. The leader of the workshop is responsible for the required equipment and materials. Please indicate at the end of the abstract:
a) the maximum number of workshop participants.
b) the planned time duration of your workshop (either a 45 min or 90 min workshop).
c) the equipment and technology required.
