Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure and honour that I welcome you to the inaugural meeting of the Cyprus Society for Surgery of the Hand, to be held on 26th and 27th September at the beautiful Minthis Resort in Paphos.

This meeting marks an important milestone for hand surgery in Cyprus, bringing together colleagues with a shared commitment to advancing knowledge, education, and collaboration in our field.

We are especially privileged to welcome Professor Don Lalonde, who will travel from Canada to share his extensive experience and insights into WALANT surgery, tendon repair, and the functional anatomy of the hand. His contributions have transformed hand surgery worldwide, and we are honoured to have him with us.

Our distinguished local faculty will also present on a wide range of topics, including flap surgery, hand microsurgery, peripheral nerve disorders, and the management of fractures and dislocations of the hand and wrist. Together, these sessions promise an engaging and educational scientific programme that will benefit surgeons at every stage of their careers.

Beyond the academic programme, I hope this meeting will provide an opportunity to strengthen existing friendships, establish new collaborations, and enjoy the warm hospitality of Cyprus in a relaxed and inspiring setting.
