The Meeting is organized by The Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR), in cooperation with the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus University of Technology.
Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR)
The Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR) was established in 1996 by Greek rheologists residing in Greece, Cyprus and abroad. It is affiliated with the European Society of Rheology (ESR) and dedicated to the promotion of scientific activities and advancement in the fields of rheology and fluid mechanics.
University of Cyprus
Since its establishment in 1989, the University of Cyprus has consistently pursued excellence, fulfilling its mission to the Cypriot society. Today, the University is recognized as the most important research and higher education institution of Cyprus, and has also, moreover, been honoured as a 'distinguished Mediterranean University'.
Currently, the University comprises eight Faculties and 22 Departments offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research study programmes to more than 7000 enrolled students.
As the University is now a member of the international network of universities and an active participant in the research community worldwide, our vision is fully realized. The University believes that freedom of education must go beyond national borders, and for this reason our very active participation internationally is essential. This involvement not only enhances our goal to provide our students with an education equal to that of the best universities worldwide, but it also enhances the University's international reputation.
Cyprus University of Technology
The Cyprus University of Technology aspires to develop itself into a modern, pioneering University able to offer education and high level research in leading branches of science and technology which have high impact on the economic, technical, and scientific sectors.
CThe Cyprus University of Technology was founded by law on December 2003 and welcomed its first students on September 2007. The Cyprus University of Technology is based at the city of Limassol, where all six faculties are located.
The Academic and Teaching Staff is selected by electoral boards, which are made up of Cypriot and non-Cypriot academics from at least three different countries. The procedure of electing Academic and Teaching Staff is continuing.
