The social events provide a great networking opportunity for all participants, and also allow a taste of local flavours.
All events are included in both the Member and Non-Member fees, and a package for accompanying persons is available.

Limassol outskirts tour & Welcome Cocktail
Meeting Point: Lobby of Venue Hotel

Schedule:
15:00 | Our meeting point will be the lobby of the Venue Hotel from where we will depart on luxurious buses for a fascinating tour in the western part of Limassol district, during which we will have the opportunity to drive through the beautiful Cypriot countryside and visit landmarks of archaeological and cultural importance.
15:30 - 16:30 | Our first stop will be at Kourion, one of the most spectacular archaeological sites on the island. Kourion is noted particularly for its amphitheatre, an awe-inspiring Greco-Roman theatre, now fully restored and used for musical and theatrical performances. Kourion is also proud home to archaic and classical monuments with exquisite mosaic floors and an early Christian Basilica among other treasures. Then we will drive along the coastal road and through the British Sovereign Base area of Akrotiri, an area that remains under British jurisdiction.
17:00 – 17:15 | Our next stop will be Petra tou Romiou, a gigantic rock off the shore, regarded as the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love.
17:45 – 18:15 | Returning to Limassol we will make a stop at Fasouri village, famous for its orange orchards, where we will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the harvesting of oranges.
18:30 – 22:00 | Our tour will conclude at Limassol’s most distinct project, the Limassol Marina - an exclusive waterfront development combining a full service marina with elegant residences, restaurants and a shopping area. A bus with the remaining conference delegates will depart from the Venue Hotel at 18:15 and will meet us at a restaurant in the Limassol Marina where the Welcome Cocktail will take place between 18:30 and 19:30. Our evening will conclude with a sumptuous dinner from 19:30 until 22:00.
Limassol old city tour & Conference Dinner
Meeting Point: Lobby of Venue Hotel

Schedule:
18:30 | One hour after the conclusion of the day’s conference programme, we will depart from the hotel. Driving along the coastal boulevard, we will reach the old city centre.
19:00 - 20:30 | We will then have a walking guided tour around the area and the Castle of Limassol, a medieval fort built in the 12th century.
20:30 – 23:00 | We will then proceed to the Conference Dinner venue, a famous restaurant situated next to the castle. Dinner will consist of sumptuous dishes from the Cypriot, Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. Entertainment during dinner will be provided by a local group, which will perform traditional dances and folkloric songs.
Excursion to Paphos & Fish Tavern Lunch
Meeting Point: Lobby of Venue Hotel
When: TBA, 2016
Schedule:
12:30 | Right after the conclusion of the day’s conference programme, we will depart from the hotel for an afternoon excursion to Paphos city.
13:30 - 15:00 | Our first stop will be a famous fish tavern located at the heart of Paphos Harbour, where we will have the opportunity to taste fresh fish and sea food, cooked in Greek, Cypriot and Mediterranean style.
15:00 - 16:00 | After lunch, we will visit the nearby Paphos Archaeological Park, famous for its Roman mosaics.
16:15 - 17:00 | Our next stop will be the Tombs of the Kings, an impressive necropolis built during the Hellenistic period (3rd century B.C).
17:30 – 18:30 | On our way back to Limassol, we will make one final stop to Kouklia village, where we will have the opportunity to get a glimpse of a farmer’s life, by visiting a bakery famous for its traditional bread and pastries, or watch how villagers make traditional type baskets out of straws.
19:30 | Our day will conclude with our return to the hotel at 19:30.
