Abstract Submission

We welcome different types of submissions for this conference:
Scholarship for Design: empirical, methodological and conceptual papers, and evidence reviews, aligned with the conference themes. Articles should be in standard academic format and style.
Abstract: maximum 350 words
Papers: maximum 4000 words (excluding references)
Images: maximum 6 (of which maximum 2 in colour; 4 in black and white; 600dpi)
Presentation Format: PowerPoint presentation
Design for Scholarship: critical reflections from practice and design. The focus may be on the application of research in practice, planning policy development, design practice, case studies of real projects or any other aspect of placemaking and design. Articles can be in commentary, viewpoint format and style.
Abstract: maximum 250 words
Papers: maximum 2000 words (references are not necessary, but are recommended if the article is opinion-led)
Images: maximum 6 (of which maximum 4 in colour; 2 in black and white; 600dpi)
Presentation Format: PowerPoint presentation
Visual essays, design sketches or travelogues*: a series of 6-10 images accompanied by text as a short academic-style essay or travel and study visit report. The text can be narrative or analytic (empirical data or references are not required).
Abstract: maximum 150 words
Text: maximum 1000 words (references are not necessary)
Images: minimum 6 and maximum 10 (these can be either black & white or colour; 600dpi)
Presentation Format: A0 poster presentation
*Please, note that these types of submission cannot be included in the proceedings

5. Attachment – Please attach here one single word or pdf document including all authors’ short biographies (maximum 250 words per author)
Authors of accepted contributions will be asked to upload the papers (and images) based on the each type’s requirements.

If you wish to attach an additional file (source) to the final paper please upload a zip file that will contain the images and paper.
