The Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Competence Centre in Cyprus – AM2C3, coordinated by the University of Cyprus in collaboration with IMDEA, EMPA, and SINTEF, is pleased to announce the upcoming EASN-AM2C3 Symposium: “Metal Additive Manufacturing: Materials, Processing and Applications”, planned to take place in Cyprus between 19-20 April 2027.

The symposium will bring together researchers, engineers, industry representatives, and stakeholders working across the metal additive manufacturing value chain, with a focus on advanced materials, powder processing, laser powder bed fusion, post-processing, characterisation, qualification, and high-value applications in aerospace and other demanding sectors. Organised in collaboration with the European Aerospace Science Network – EASN, the event will provide a platform for scientific exchange, networking, and discussion on the current challenges and future directions of metal additive manufacturing.

Particular emphasis will be placed on materials development, process–microstructure–property relationships, LPBF alloys and metal matrix composites, as well as the transition of AM technologies towards reliable industrial and aerospace applications. The symposium will also contribute to the broader mission of AM2C3 to strengthen research excellence, international collaboration, and industrial engagement in additive manufacturing and advanced materials in Cyprus and across Europe.
