Q. What lanquage do they speak in Cyprus?
A. Greek is the population's mother tongue but with the strong influence Britain has exerted on the island's history, English is widely spoken and understood. Knowledge of French, Russian and German is increasing with the island's tourist trade.

Q. Is Cyprus now a full member of the European Union?
A. The first phase of the agreement was implemented on 1st January 1998 with the abolition of all customs duties and quantitative restrictions on trade of industrial products between the EU and Cyprus. The second phase was recently agreed and Cyprus was welcomed as a full member of the EU on May 1st 2004.

A.The European Union's Council of Ministers has approved the entry of Cyprus into the Eurozone.
European finance ministers (collectively known as Ecofin) set fixed rates of one euro to 0.585274 Cypriot pounds and euro is the official currency used in Cyprus since January 1, 2008
The design of the Cypriot euro coins
- 1 cent, 2 cent and 5 cent: The Mouflon, the most characteristic species of fauna in Cyprus, representing the island's nature and wildlife.
- 10 cent, 20 cent and 50 cent: The Kyrenia ship of 4th Century B.C., representing Cyprus's history and its character as an island as well as its importance in trade.
- 1 and 2: The Idol of Pomos, a cross-shaped idol dating back to the Cypriot chalcolithic period (3000 B.C.), found in Pomos, a village in the district of Paphos. It is a characteristic example of prehistoric art in Cyprus, representing the island's antiquity, culture and civilization. up
Q. What voltage is used on Cyprus?
A. The voltage on the island is 240 Socket outlets of flat 3 pin-type.

Q. Which side of the road should I drive on while in Cyprus?
A. While in Cyprus you must always remember to drive on the left hand side of the road. In Cyprus, we drive on the LEFT side of the road. NOT the right.
Pedestrians must remember that traffic moves on the LEFT side of the road. Therefore you must always:
- Walk on the pavement. In case there is no pavement, walk on the right side of the road (ie. towards the oncoming traffic).
- Look both to your right and left before crossing any road.
In case of an accident, call 199 immediately.

Q. When I tried to login to my account at www.easyconferences.org for the first time I got a 'Wrong username or Password error'
A. First make sure that you have activated your account after your registration to EasyConferences. To activate your account please check your e-mail account for the activation e-mail and click the activation link therein.
If you can't find the activation e-mail in your inbox, please check your Junk Mail folder or SPAM folder for an email from 'support@easyconferences.org'
Contact us at support@easyconferences.org if you can't find the activation email in any of those folders.

Q. I activated my account but I still get a wrong username or password error.
A. Please make sure you have entered your full email address as your username (name@domain.com making sure there are no spaces and an @ and not a 2 in the address) and that you do not have 'Caps Lock' activated on your keyboard.
If you still can't access your account you can reset your password by clicking here 'http://www.easyconferences.org/forgotten' and entering your e-mail address. An e-mail containing a Reset Key, which you can use to reset your current password, will be send to the email account you have provided. Please note that the e-mail account you provide for your password recovery should be the same email account you registered with.

Q. I forgot my username and/or password for my EasyConferences account.
A. Your username for EasyConferences is your full email address. If you can no longer access or remember the email address you used when opening your account, please email support@easyconferences.org.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION:
Q. My University/lab/Organization is paying for my registration to the Conference. What payment method should I choose?
A.If the payment for the registration is made by a third-party please select the option 'Other' in your payment method. In the section 'Notes' please specify who will be paying for your registration and what payment method they will be using.
When the payment is made, it is very important that the Conference you are registering for and your full name are clearly indicated on the payment slip. This is so we can track the payment back to you to finalize your registration.

Q. I made my registration and received the confirmation e-mail but I need a formal invoice to submit to my funding institution.
A.A formal hard copy invoice/receipt will be handed to all participants upon the final registration at the conference venue. If for any reason you need a proof that you will be attending the conference, please note that the confirmation e-mail is valid, if you need further confirmation please contact us at support@easyconferences.org and we will send you a letter stating that you will be attending the conference.

Q. I made the payment for my registration but my funding institution will be paying for my accommodation. How can this be arranged?
A.Once your payment is cleared, you will notice that the balance for your registration is zeroed. You may then return to your registration, select the accommodation step from the menu, and fill in the hotel details you require. Continue to the final step on the registration and in payment method choose 'bank transfer', an e-mail with our bank detail will be automatically sent to your e-mail, you may forward this e-mail to your funding institution.
When the payment is made, it is very important that the Conference you are registering for and your full name are clearly indicated on the payment slip. This is so we can track the payment back to you to finalize your registration.

Q. I tried to use the 'Snake Tree' to navigate the registration website, but nothing happens when I click on the step I need. Is it compulsory to fill in all the fields of the registration?
A.Please note that there is no compulsory step in the Easyconferences registration system. However, if you are using the registration for the first time, it is required to use the 'Next' and 'Back' buttons below each page to navigate. You may leave blank any information you need and still navigate with the 'Next' button.
Once you complete the registration with the navigation buttons you can use the 'Snake Tree' to skip to whichever registration page you wish to make changes. This is done so that an important step is not skipped accidentally on the initial registration.
Also please note that it is very important to go back and change your registration if you skipped important information on your initial registration (such as flight details, accommodation dates etc).

Q. How can I make changes to my Conference registration?
A.Once you login to www.easyconferences.org you will be redirected to the 'Welcome Page' therein, under 'My Conferences', you will see a list of the conferences you have registered for. Under each Conference you will see the 'change' option to the right of the list, and if you click on the conference's link you will see the 'change order' option at the top right of the Conference overview and payment page. Use these options to make any changes you require.
