He has held key leadership roles, including Chief Business & Networking Officer at the Atlantic International Research Centre, where he built extensive transatlantic networks across the scientific and institutional spectrum. His career spans award-winning digital innovation, capacity development, and science-policy integration, all rooted in a passion for cooperation at depth. As Nations Enablement Director at OceanQuest, José led initiatives empowering nations to explore and protect remote ocean regions, bridging scientific ambition with diplomatic action. At KAUST’s New Technologies and Innovation unit, he now serves as Consortia and Network Development Advisor, supporting the growth of strategic partnerships and collaborative frameworks that connect research institutions, industry, and international networks.
