Nick Rich is Director Fleet Management with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement with more than 40 years’ experience at sea and ashore in the maritime industry. His career started as deck cadet and progressed through to Chief Officer, sailing on a variety of ship types including tankers, bulk carriers, reefers, general cargo and dredgers. Moving ashore, Nick gained experience in the positions of Shore Captain, Safety Manager, Group Technical Manager and was appointed Director Fleet Management in 2023. The diversity of the roles Nick has taken ashore have provided experience with most operational aspects of ship management. In addition to becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 2009, Nick holds an MBA. Nick has been a member of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber Health and Safety Committee, including a period as Chairman.
