Dr Renuka Badhe serves as the Secretary General at EuroGOOS (European component of the Global Ocean Observing System) since January 2026. She previously held leadership positions at the European Polar Board, and at the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, with longstanding expertise in polar and marine governance, science, policy and on foresight and strategy development. She is particularly interested in promoting science and research to a wide audience using a variety of traditional and non-traditional communication tools, and projects looking at the interface between governance, science, and policy. She founded the Women in Polar Science network in 2014 to promote diversity, and serves on many national and international EDI committees.
