Knowledge Graphs
Hosted in the cosmopolitan coastal city of Limassol, Cyprus, the 16th IEEE International Conference on Knowledge Graphs (ICKG 2025) successfully concluded a dynamic two-day event on November 13-14, 2025, bringing together 60 distinguished academics, researchers, students, and practitioners from 14 countries, underscoring its pivotal role in international computer science.
The conference, held under the auspices of the IEEE, was expertly hosted by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Cyprus (UCY). The elegant five-star venue, the St Raphael Resort and Marina provided the ideal environment of both serious academic exchange and relaxed networking.
The success of the 16th IEEE International Conference on Knowledge Graphs was made possible by the dedication of the organizing committee, including Conference Chair Prof. George Papadopoulos, Conference Co-Chair Dan Guo (Hefei University of Technology), Program Chair Cesare Alippi (Università della Svizzera italiana), Local Organising Vice Chair Irene Kinlanioti (National Technical University of Athens), and Finance Chair Constantinos Pattichis (University of Cyprus), among others who ensured the high quality of the event.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every participant who contributed to the intellectual vibrancy of ICKG 2025,” said Prof. Papadopoulos. “This conference stands as a vital gathering place for our community, reinforcing the critical importance of Knowledge Graphs in shaping the future of AI, data representation, and complex system analysis. The research shared here will undoubtedly drive the next generation of technological innovation.”
The social programme introduced participants to the Cypriot culture. Attendees enjoyed a welcome reception at the venue’s bar, savoring the spectacular views over the Mediterranean. The conference dinner featured traditional food and drinks, providing an ideal opportunity for old friends to reconnect and new collaborators to forge bonds. A memorable tour of Limassol’s old town, including its historical alleys, the medieval castle, and the modern marina, enriched the participants’ experience, showcasing the unique beauty of the coastal city.
Programme
The technical programme featured state-of-the-art research across core topics, including “Knowledge Graph Construction & Representation”, “Data Mining & Applications”, and “Graph Representation & Analysis”.
The conference was privileged to host two influential keynote speakers who showcased cutting-edge work: Changsheng Xu from the Chinese Academy of Sciences presented his insights on “Connecting Isolated Social Multimedia Big Data”. Steffen Staab from the University of Stuttgart delivered a presentation on “Managing Knowledge Spaces”.
The conference also honored exceptional contributions to the field with several prestigious paper awards during the opening session:
Two Best Paper Awards were presented to Manohar Murthi and Kamal Premaratne for their work on “Clustering Edges Reveals How Vertices Exert Influence in Graph Data” and to Demetris Paschalides, George Pallis, and Marios D. Dikaiakos for “PRISM: A Framework for Multi-Level Modeling and Analysis of Polarization Knowledge.”
The Best Student Paper Awards were received by Shuqing Sun, Peijie Sun, Ruijie Liu, and Dan Guo for “Preference-aware Intent Fusion in Multi-Behavior Recommendation”, and also to Jiawei Guo, Yang Gao, Zihang Liu, Yihan Rao, Jiang Hu, and Haishuai Wang for “EagleCare: Augmenting ICU Monitoring with LLMs and Knowledge Graph Reasoning.”
Acknowledgments
The organizers extend their sincere appreciation to the generous sponsors and supporters:

Anhui Association for Artificial Intelligence: This organization actively promotes the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) science and technology, playing a crucial role in developing the “AI Plus” initiative.
Special thanks are extended to Easyconferences, the Professional Conference Organizer (PCO), who provided essential organizational support, including the robust Online Registration System and comprehensive Conference Coordination Services, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
Next Location
The 17th IEEE International Conference on Knowledge Graphs will take place in Shenyang, China.
Shenyang offers a perfect blend of deep historical roots and modern industrial innovation. Known historically as Mukden, this vibrant city once served as the secondary capital of the Qing Dynasty, a legacy beautifully preserved in its UNESCO World Heritage-listed Imperial Palace, a stunning architectural site comparable to Beijing’s Forbidden City. Today, Shenyang anchors China’s Northeast as a major transportation, commerce, and technology hub.
