Giuseppe Provenzano manages the sector of Research and Innovation at the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, focusing on innovation and science diplomacy. He coordinates initiatives that strengthen regional cooperation and dialogue addressing topics including inclusive and sustainable development and integration in the Euro-Mediterranean area. A key focus is to promote South-South collaboration, champion science diplomacy, job creation, and to address environmental and climate emergencies. He just launched the Research-to-Business initiative, aimed at supporting mature research projects commercialization.
