ICOAE 2024 featured prominent keynote presentations by renowned economists:
- Dr. Giovanni Cerulli, Research Director at IRCrES-CNR, delivered an insightful talk on “Optimal Policy Learning: Theory, Estimation, Implementation.”
- Prof. Mihajlo Jakovljevic, Professor and Founding Head of the University of Kragujevac, presented on “Evolution of Healthcare Spending Landscape in The Global South’s LMICs Countries led by Emerging BRICS Markets.”
Participants had the opportunity to explore Belgrade’s historical landmarks, including Sremski Karlovci, Novi Sad, and the Petrovaradin Fortress, enhancing their conference experience with a cultural dimension.
The primary aim of the ICOAE conferences is to unite economists from diverse fields of Applied Economic Research. The conference covers a wide range of topics, such as Tourism Economics, Applied Macroeconomics, Applied International Economics, and Applied Microeconomics, with a special focus on Industrial Organization.
The next conference will take place in Bratislava from 3 to 7 July 2025.
The conference was supported by the University of Western Macedonia, whose School of Economic Science is renowned for its rigorous academic programs and research in various economic disciplines, such as regional and cross-border development Studies.
