ISSRE 2026 No-Show Policy
This no-show policy intends to protect the quality of the conference program and to ensure the long-term value of the published proceedings. Authors of accepted work are expected to support the scientific integrity of ISSRE by presenting their contributions as scheduled.
This policy applies to every category of accepted submission, including research papers, industry papers, fast abstracts, posters, tutorials, workshop papers, and any other publication type that appears in the ISSRE proceedings.
For each accepted paper, at least one author must register for the conference at the appropriate author registration rate and must present the paper during its assigned session. Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the organizing committee, presentations are in person. A paper is considered a no-show if these requirements are not fulfilled.
Papers that are not presented will be removed from the official ISSRE proceedings and will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore®. Program Chairs may also report no-shows to the Steering Committee, the IEEE Computer Society, and to organizers of future ISSRE editions. Authors with repeated no-shows may face limitations on future submissions to the conference.
Exceptions to the no-show policy may be granted in exceptional circumstances, such as medical or personal emergencies. These requests must be submitted in writing before the scheduled presentation and may require supporting documentation (e.g., the presenting author has timely applied for the VISA). When an exception is approved, the Program Chairs may allow an alternate presenter. Alternative arrangements should be finalized at least two weeks before the conference, except in true emergencies.
Author registration is required to retain acceptance of the paper and is non-refundable, even if the paper is ultimately not presented. Registration must be completed before the defined author registration date.
Authors with multiple accepted papers must ensure that each paper is presented. A full author registration is required for each accepted paper unless the General Chairs and/or Registration Chairs explicitly indicate otherwise.
The ISSRE organizers reserve the right to update or clarify this policy. Any changes will be posted on the official conference website.
