Networking
The 24th edition of the IFIP Networking Conference, held from May 26 to 30, 2025, brought together 121 academics, researchers, students, and professionals from 27 countries, including Canada, India, and Qatar, for a vibrant exchange of ideas and advancements in the field of Information Processing. The event took place at the St Raphael Resort and Marina, a five-star venue on the southern coast of Cyprus, offering a professional yet scenic setting ideal for collaboration and innovation.
Organized by the University of Cyprus, CYENS Centre of Excellence, and The Cyprus Institute, and technically sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), the conference featured four central tracks: Network Architectures, Applications and Services, Network Modeling, Analysis and Operation, Network Security and Privacy, and Wireless Networking.
Professor Vasos Vassiliou and Professor Constantine Dovrolis, serving as General Chairs, expressed their gratitude to all attendees: “It was a privilege to welcome such a diverse and engaged group of participants. Your contributions have made IFIP Networking 2025 a truly collaborative and impactful experience.”

- 3rd IOCRCI Workshop: Impact of IT/OT Convergence on the Resilience of Critical Infrastructures
- SLICES: Data-Driven Research, Reproducibility, and FAIR Practices in Future G Networks
- 2nd International Workshop on Smart Water Management (SmartWater) 2025
- 1st TX4Nets Workshop: Trustworthy and eXplainable AI for Networks
- Hackathon on Thought Experiments, Data, and Reproducibility for Networking and FutureG
- Extended Reality (XR) and 6G Networks
Two keynote speakers delivered thought-provoking presentations:
- Professor Fernando A. Kuipers (TU Delft) on “Data-driven Network Resilience”
- Professor Luca Mottola (Politecnico di Milano & RI.SE, Sweden) on “Approximate Intermittent Computing”
Accepted papers will be published in the IFIP Digital Library and submitted for inclusion in indexing databases, pending quality review and scope alignment. At the closing ceremony, the Best Paper Award was presented to Farid Zandi, Manya Ghobadi, and Yashar Ganjali for their paper “FORESIGHT: Joint Time and Space Scheduling for Efficient Distributed ML Training.”
Beyond the academic sessions, the conference featured carefully curated social events that highlighted Cyprus’s unique blend of culture. The welcome reception in the resort’s garden offered stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, accompanied by local drinks and Cypriot delicacies. A highlight of the program was a guided visit to the Kourion Archaeological Site, one of Cyprus’s most significant historical landmarks, known for its Greco-Roman amphitheater, mosaics, and panoramic views of the sea. The conference dinner was held at a traditional tavern in Limassol, where attendees enjoyed authentic local cuisine, live music, dancing, and a spectacular night view of the coastline—an unforgettable way to close a remarkable event.
