ETHICS POLICIES

Policies on Professional Conduct

All individuals attending AAMAS26 (including all affiliated events such as workshops, tutorials, the doctoral consortium, social events, etc.) and/or interacting with other attendees on any online platform associated with the conference (e.g., event app, social media channels, submission websites) are expected to engage in the best ethical professional practices laid down by IFAAMAS. These policies follow closely similar policies from ACM and other professional societies.

Policy on Harassment

IFAAMAS is committed to organizing the AAMAS conference and its affiliated events in an environment that is free of harassment for everyone involved: delegates, organizers, conference staff, and reviewers. The AAMAS26 Organizing Committee shares this commitment and will strive to achieve the above goal.

Some examples of harassment are:

  • inappropriate comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion;
  • the use of inappropriate imagery in the conference environment (e.g., the use of sexual imagery in talks or in posters);
  • intimidation, stalking, following, unwelcome physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention;
  • the use of overtly aggressive or intimidating behavior or language.

All participants in IFAAMAS events in general and AAMAS26 in particular are asked to embrace our intention to foster a harassment-free scientific community and to understand that IFAAMAS will respond appropriately to incidents of harassment if they occur.

What to do if you are the victim of harassment?

If you believe you are the victim of harassment or notice that someone else is being harassed at AAMAS26, or have any other related concerns, then please immediately contact the local organizing committee.
