Hybrid Format - Frequently Asked Questions

Will a certificate of attendance be delivered to attendees?

Yes: the organisers will provide a general certificate of attendance after the completion of the conference, which will include the participant’s name. If anyone requires a more customised certificate format, please consult the Chairs of the category of contributions in which your paper was accepted (e.g. the workshops organisers of your workshop paper).

Is there any printing service available?

Yes. Poster printing service is available through the EasyConferences registration system.

The service includes color printing of one A0 size poster (portrait orientation) on high-grade paper, as well as delivery to the conference venue. Your printed poster will be available for pickup at the registration desk on site.

Should you book this service, you should send your poster as a high-quality PDF file to info@easyconferences.eu by the 8th of May.

Will remote attendance be supported?

Yes. A live Zoom meeting will be active in each room throughout the conference, for any event (workshops, DC, etc) and track inside the main conference (demo, blue sky, etc). Both presenters and audience members can join remotely at any time. The links will be made available to presenters and attendees in due time.

I will attend remotely: shall I need to pay for the registration fee?

Yes, registration fees are the same for remote and in-presence attendance. Please follow the instructions here: https://cyprusconferences.org/aamas2026/registration

I will attend remotely: will I get a certificate of attendance?

Sure: “remote attendance” counts as “attendance” under any respect. We will issue participation certificates for all attendees, whatever the attendance mode.

I am a presenter of a main track / blue sky track / JAAMAS track / AAAI track / demo track / DC / workshop paper and wish to participate remotely. What do I need to do?

All presenters of any track/event who wish to participate remotely must complete the following registration form by 8th May 2026. You will need to submit a pre-recorded video (of 5-10 minutes in length) as a back-up, through a link you will receive through email; you would be expected to present your paper online in the assigned slot
https://forms.gle/3UkoYeF4arqnwKEL8
If some track- or workshop-specific instructions or constraints exist, they will be communicated via email directly by the track/workshop chairs.

I have more than one paper in the main track and other formats, do I need to fill one form or one for each?

Yes, you will need to submit one form for each paper that will be presented remotely. For example, if you have two papers in the main track and one in one workshop and all three will be presented remotely, you will fill the form three times, one for each of the main track papers and the third for the workshop paper.

How do I submit a pre-recorded video?

All remote presenters need to create a video in mp4, of between 5 and 10 minutes in duration and submit it via the remote participation registration form, https://forms.gle/3UkoYeF4arqnwKEL8. If you have already created a 5 minute video for your main track paper for upload to the AAMAS website, then you may reuse or extend this.
Presenters in workshops, tutorials, demos, DC, and special tracks might receive further instructions from their respective chairs, but the AAMAS remote presentation approach will be basically the same for all tracks and events.

I have already enquired about remote presentation and provided a video and filled the form. Do I need to redo it?

No.

What if my internet connection is unreliable or I cannot present live at my scheduled time?

If a presenter cannot attend live or has a poor-quality connection, their pre-recorded video will be played instead. This is why all authors who need to present their papers remotely are required to submit a pre-recorded video as a backup.

I have an extended abstract in the programme, will remote presentation of that be supported?

If an extended abstract author can not be present in person, we print out the poster locally and put it up for them.

I have an extended abstract and wish to participate remotely. What do I need to do?

Extended abstract authors who wish to participate remotely must complete the following notification form by 8th May 2026.  You will need to submit a PDF of your poster.
https://forms.gle/3UkoYeF4arqnwKEL8

I am a main track presenter and an extended abstract presenter, do I need to fill in forms for both?

Yes, you need to fill the form for each contribution you intend to present remotely separately.

What happens if the situation changes and I am able to attend in person after all?

There is no problem if you subsequently decide to attend in person, just let the Local Organizers (george@ucy.ac.cy) and the General Chairs (john.thangarajah@rmit.edu.au, viviana.mascardi@unige.it) know. For Local arrangements queries and assistance please contact EasyConferences (info@easyconferences.eu).

Who should I contact if I have questions about my specific session?

Please direct any questions about hybrid arrangements to the organisers of your workshop, tutorial, demo, DC, or main conference track. They are your primary point of contact for session-specific logistics.

What equipment will be provided in each room?

Each room will be equipped with a PC connected to Zoom, microphones, speakers, and a volunteer to manage remote participation and online Q&A.

How will remote attendees ask questions?

Each room will have a dedicated volunteer to manage online Q&A and relay questions from remote participants to the room.

Why is my DOI not working?

The DOI will be active on the day (or a few days) after the paper becomes available in the ACM Digital Library, which should be by the start of the conference.
