[whitespace height=”20″]Once coming to Cyprus, you cannot miss having a traditional meat ‘meze’ lunch or dinner. Cypriots have gained a great deal of specialization through many long years of experience in the preparation and cooking of different kinds of meat in many different ways.

Traditional taverns are usually owned and run by families. Usually the mother in the family would be the cook and would employ all the knowledge passed on to her by her mother and grandmother; whereas the father would be the one to barbeque/grill the meat and check if customers are happy with their service. The children will usually be the servers.  The whole family takes great pride in what they do and do not want a single person to leave their premises unhappy.

Participation to this event will provide an experience of a real life dinner that a Cypriot family would usually have on a special occasion or on a Sunday.

Our Village Night-Out will start with our transfer to the village.  You will be escorted to a traditional stone-built tavern with an engaging traditional décor. You will be served a variety of ‘meze’ dishes (assortment of dishes) comprising mainly of meat as well as other delicious sides such as ‘grilled halloumi cheese’, smoked sausages, ‘koupepia’ (stuffed vine leaves with minced meat and herbs).

Along with the sumptuous selection of ‘meze’ platters you will also be served local wine as well as the authentic spirit that Cyprus is globally known for: ‘zivania’. The background music will create a festive atmosphere that will give a chance to all delegates unwind from the busy conference schedule.
