Mary Brassil is a partner at the Irish law firm, McCann FitzGerald, specialising in employment, equality and industrial relations law. She has considerable experience in advising domestic and international clients on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions, including cross border mergers, outsourcings, restructuring and redundancy programmes.

Her practice includes representing employers in contentious employment law disputes before all of the employment law tribunals and the Irish courts.

Mary advises clients in relation to confidentiality, restrictive covenants, social media issues as well as related privacy and data protection issues.

She has significant experience of advising clients in the financial sector on executive remuneration, having regard to the CRD IV rules and established regulatory environment.

Mary writes and lectures widely on all topics relating to her practice area. She recently contributed the Irish chapter of “Global Legal Insights – Employment and Labour 3rd Edition”, the Irish chapter of “Getting the Deal Through – Labour & Employment 2014” and the Irish Q&A chapter to “Practical Law Employment and Employee Benefits Multi-jurisdictional Guide 2014”.
