Philip has 16 years experience advising on employment law issues. He studied law at the University of Groningen, graduating in 1999, and joined the Amsterdam law firm Ekelmans Den Hollander. Following the merger with HoganLovells he joined the two founders of Bronsgeest Deur Advocaten as an associate when they left HoganLovells in 2003. He became a partner of this firm in January 2009.

Philip advises international and Dutch companies on employment issues including restructuring and negotiations with trade unions. He also has a particular focus on Privacy and Data Protection issues and their impact in the workplace.

Philip is a member of the Amsterdam Employment Law Specialists Association (VAAA), the EELA, the Association for Employment Lawyers in the Netherlands (VAAN) and the Dutch Privacy Association. In 2006 he completed a post-graduate course on employment law at the University of Rotterdam.

Philip is the Central Project Manager for all cross-border projects and of the many International Practice Groups for the Netherlands within the Ius Laboris Alliance where the firm is a member of.

Philip is mentioned as leading labour and employment lawyer in the Netherlands in Who’s Who Legal.
