Bernd Waas completed his legal studies in Tübingen and Munich. Since 2009, he has been the Chair of Labour Law and Civil Law at the Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main.

Currently the Managing Director of the Institute for Civil and Business Law, Faculty of Law, Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main.

Bernd has lectured all over Europe, US, Japan, China, South Korea and South Africa, and is an active coordinator of the European Law Network (ELLN). Furthermore, he is a member of the advisory board of the Labour Law Research Network.
