Combining deep subject matter knowledge with commercial pragmatism and a “can do”, down-to-earth attitude, Clare supplies end-to-end advisory and project management support on a broad spectrum of employment law related topics and strategic workforce initiatives. A key “trusted adviser” within Accenture’s Legal team, Clare is a seasoned negotiator and litigator, with a keen interest in diversity initiatives, industrial relations issues, talent management strategy and delivery of training.

Employment History

As Director of Employment Law, Global Support to Contracting, Ventures and Acquisitions at Accenture, Clare is responsible for a dedicated function directed to employment law support for transactional matters.  She provides management oversight for all complex outsourcing activities, acquisitions and ventures globally, providing direction and guidance on deal-shaping, communications, risk management /compliance and project management and global industrial relations. In addition, she manages the Employment Law team’s capability development programmes and acts as a Global People Advocate within Legal.  Since joining Accenture in 2007, Clare has held a number of roles including Director of Employment Law, for Europe Middle East, Africa and Latin America and Director of Employment Law for North America.

Prior to joining Accenture, Clare worked for global law firm, Baker & McKenzie LLP – in both London and San Francisco/Palo Alto (1998 – 2006), and previously at UK law firms, Hammonds (1995 – 1998) SNR Denton (formerly Denton Wilde Sapte) (1993 – 1995).

She gained her LLB (Hons) from University College London in 1991 and Law Society Finals from Chester College of Law in 1992.

Outside work, she enjoys property restoration projects, hill walking,  entertaining and Latin and ballroom dancing.
